12 Days of Local Love – Fish Fry

by | Dec 7, 2020

This holiday season, we have selected the Fish Fry as one of our featured businesses for our 12 Days of Local Love! One of the longest-running restaurants in Brookhaven, the Fish Fry has been serving fresh Mississippi farm-raised catfish to the people of Brookhaven for the past 37 years. Co-owners Heath and Tonya Luper bought the Fish Fry from longtime owners Wayne and Carol Boyte (Wayne has since passed) in 2015. “I had worked offshore for 18 years, and I was ready to be home with my family and invest in the local community,” Heath Luper said, “I had eaten at and loved the Fish Fry for years, and, when it came up for sale, my wife and I were eager to carry on its legacy.“ Champions of buying and supporting local, the Lupers take pride in bringing Mississippi farm-raised catfish to Lincoln County and buying local whenever possible to support other Brookhaven businesses. “We cater to working people,” Heath Luper said, “We love seeing the whole community show up and dine with us Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. It’s like a family reunion every time we open our doors.” When you’re ready for a feast the entire family will enjoy, visit the Fish Fry for authentic, delicious food that has stood the test of time. Remember to dine local and spread #LocalLove!
